Mobile apps

Mobile app development for iOS and Android

Mobile app development for your business: an app your customers, employees or users carry in their pocket, native for iOS and Android from a single codebase, or a PWA that installs from the browser without going through the app stores.

At Dynoft we design, build and publish mobile apps from Ibagué, Colombia, for companies across the country and abroad. We have shipped apps in daily use, including Legajo and our own products Abordo, Habentra and AgendApp, and we know what comes after launch: updates, push notifications, support and metrics.

Scope

What mobile app development includes

  • iOS and Android apps

A single codebase with React Native and Expo, with the experience each platform expects.

  • Progressive web apps (PWA)

Web apps that install on the phone, work offline and don't depend on the app stores.

  • Backend and API

The server, database and API the app needs, built by the same team.

  • App Store and Google Play publishing

Developer accounts, listings, screenshots, review and every update after that.

  • Notifications, maps and payments

Push, real-time location, camera, payment gateways and biometric login.

  • Analytics and support

Usage analytics, crash reporting and an improvement plan after launch.

Process

How we work

  1. We define the app

Who it's for, what it does in week one and what can wait. A scope that fits in one launch.

  2. We design the screens

Flows and a clickable prototype before writing code, so changes are cheap.

  3. We build and test

Test builds on your phone every few weeks, with real users.

  4. We publish and measure

Stores, analytics and notifications. Then improvements driven by usage data.

Use cases

What a custom app is for

An app makes sense when the work happens away from a desk. Three common cases:

  • An app for your customers

Orders, bookings, service tracking or a loyalty program that lives on the phone.

  • An app for your team

Field staff, drivers or sales reps who log, photograph and report from their phone.

  • A digital product

An app that is the business itself: subscriptions, users and a backend that scales.

Abordo (families and drivers), Habentra (residents and gate staff) and AgendApp (families and teachers) are mobile apps built by Dynoft and in daily use.

Frequently asked questions

What people usually ask us.

Short answers to what we get asked before we start.

Do you build iOS and Android apps from the same code?

Yes. With React Native and Expo we build one application that ships to the App Store and Google Play, with access to each platform's camera, GPS, notifications and biometrics.

What is a PWA and when does it make sense?

A progressive web app installs on the phone and behaves almost like a native app. It makes sense when you want to launch fast, skip the stores or reach users who don't install apps.

Do you handle app store publishing?

Yes. We create or configure the developer accounts, prepare the listing, get through Apple and Google review, and publish every update.

How much does it cost to build an app?

It depends on the features and whether it needs its own backend. We define a first version with the essentials, with a concrete price and date, and grow from there.
